Verdict Obtained in Medical Malpractice Case

On October 17, 2023, Attorneys Patrick Cavanaugh and Zachary Gordon completed a seven-day medical malpractice jury trial in the Court of Common Pleas of Crawford County, Pennsylvania. They obtained a unanimous jury verdict in favor of their client, the estate of a deceased patient. The jury found that the Defendants committed medical malpractice regarding the patient’s optimization for anesthesia and administration of anesthesia during an out-patient procedure. The jury also found that the Defendants’ professional negligence caused the patient’s death. The Crawford County jury awarded a total of $750,000 in damages for loss of companionship and pain and suffering arising from the Defendants’ negligence.
